    Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy is now in Chanchalguda Central Jail in Hyderabad as a special category prisoner. Jagan became prisoner number 6093. He was remanded to 14 days judicial custody by CBI Special Court on Monday.

    The CBI court-which is trying illegal assets case-turned the bail plea of Jagan. It has also dismissed the petition filed by CBI seeking 14 days judicial custody to Jagan.

    The CBI counsel who argued against Jagan said following words:  "Jagan never cooperated in the investigation during the three-day questioning period in true sense. He cannot assail CBI for being victimised."

    "We will now show the people about his swindling of money. He cannot seek public sympathy. He has deprived poor people and caused them irreparable loss and in turn enriched himself by dubious mechanism by sending the funds abroad and getting the same invested in his companies," said CBI.

    Jagan was booked under charges of criminal conspiracy (IPC Section 120-B), cheating (IPS Sec 420), criminal breach of trust (IPC Sec 409) and falsification of accounts (IPC Sec 477 A). The CBI counsel has said that the crime committed by Jagan and 73 other accused was white collar crime and said charge sheets were filed against 24 accused.

    The Central Bureau of Investigation has also said that it had sent rogatory letters to Mauritius and Luxembourg for further information related to investments  in Sandur Power. The counsel has also said that Luxembourg based Asian Infra is suspected owner of Sandur Power.

    The CBI’s advocate has even said that there were certain transactions that only Jagan would be knowing. He has also said that the CBI would get to know about those transactions only if Jaganmohan Reddy was taken into CBI custody.

    The Central Bureauf of Investigation has even alleged that certain companies got thousands of acres of agricultural land in return of investments after Jagan influenced his late father YS Rajashekara Reddy. The counsel has also mentioned that Jagan became very rich in four years during the reign of YS Rajashekara Reddy.

    The CBI counsel even said: "Jagan got enriched enormously in a short span of four years after influencing his father Rajashekhar Reddy, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in getting ill gotten money into his own firms from investors who doled out favours as part of quid pro quo."
