Kerala Temple Guarded by Crocodile

Ananthapura Lake Temple is most popular ancient ninth century Hindu temple, located in the middle of a lake in Kasaragod District of Kerala, South India, at around 6 km from Kumble, which it was dedicated to lord Vishnu. The Kerala Temple is home to a crocodile named Babiya, where the people believe that monitors the temple, the god Anantha Padmanabha has decided to go the distance to Thiruvananthapura through that cave.

The devotees used to take bath in the water tank, where there is no instance of it harming anyone so far. Meanwhile, the Kerala Temple authorities said that Babia is a vegetarian and it has never harmed anyone including the fishes in the tank. The devotees also paying respect to this crocodile from several past year.
