Aamir writes to Bihar CM
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who has been fighting burning problems of the country with his television show Satyamev Jayate, has asked Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar to ensure that generic medicines are made available across the state. Generic medicines don't have a company and are recognized just by the formula name.
In a letter to Nitish Kumar, Aamir said he urge the CM to make generic medicines easily available in all places of the state. He has also mentioned Rs. 35,000 crore generic medicines manufactured in India had been exported for foreign countries for quite sometime. Meanwhile, political observers said Aamir Khan apparently hijacked the idea of UPA, which wanted to make generic medicines available across the country in order to retain its power in 2014.
