If industry sources are to be believed Superstar Rajnikanth's Kochadaiyaan is rumoured to have raked a whopping fanciful sum for the satellite rights of the film. As per sources the rights have been cornered by the ruling party's mouth piece Jaya TV. Though the Producers EROS International have not revealed the figures, sources leave their mouths wide opened at the astronomical figure. Well as per the stats it was said that the Superstar's earlier film Shivaji raked in about Rs 5 Cr for the sat rights and then it had gone to the then ruling party supporting channel Sun Network.
Based on this the latest flick directed by the Superstar's daughter Soundarya is sure to have garnered a whopping figure. Rajnikanth is paired with Deepika Padukone. This film under the supervision of K S Ravikumar boasts of real technical excellence and is supposed to be the Indian reply to Hollywood's Avatar.
Kochadaiyaan' is officially said to be released on 12-12-12 marking the Superstar's Super Birthday!
Another novel startegy adapted by the producers was to release behind-the-scene clippings on five lakhs mobile phones with an autograph of the superstar behind the mobile. Sounds great, infact the crew has also roped in a mobile manufacturer too for this novel initiative. As per sources the film's trailer is to be released in September. The industry critics are awestruck with the gains the movie is hauling even before the official release. That is Rajni Sir, say the experienced. (With inputs from internet- AW AarKay)
