Palace Grounds in the city will not be hosting any commercial activities from Friday. The new resolution by the Legislative Council will surely upset the party goers as Palace Grounds has become care of address for late night parties for over a decade. The leader of the house in Legislative Council, Somanna has announced that Palace Grounds will be rented only for weddings, birthdays and get-together—all personal activities.
A direction in this regard was issued to the Commissioner of Police and Deputy Commissioner of Police the moment the resolution was made on Thursday. So, all commercial activities came to halt with immediate effect. And those who planned to hold their commercial parties at Palace Grounds will now have to search for alternatives.
It is known that Palace Grounds in Bangalore hosted many international events so far. Noted musicians and artistes such as Backstreet Boys, Elton John, MLTR, Akson, The Rolling Stones and Enrique Iglesias staged their performances at Palace Grounds.
