A sequel to Masti, Grand Masti unleashes a double dose of adult comedy on the audiences who dare to watch it. Director Indra Kumar has taken it upon himself to disgust the viewers as much as possible with the help of Ritesh Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi. Bruna Abdullah, Maryam Zakaria and Kainaat Arora add to the vulgarity.

Grand Masti review

Story :

The story of Grand Masti kicks off from where Masti ended. The husbands are still married of course, but are very bored of their dedicated wives. They venture out to their college, SLUTS (Shree Lalchand University of Technology and Science), for a reunion to get some action (pun intended).

The trio of Amar, Meet and Prem meet the hare brained Rose, Mary and Marlowe, who give them both entertainment and a tricky situation. The boys try to educate the college kids with the female anatomy but soon find themselves dealing with someone's death. They now need to get themselves out of the tangle, making funny (supposedly) jokes in the process.

Analysis :

Grand Masti

There is no masti in this film with all its cliched portrayal of women. Anyone who thinks this is funny should probably take a good look at themselves. Grand Masti's lead characters are nothing but perverted men who make fun of every woman they come across. For them, all women are free and all wives are boring, never mind the hard work they put in at home.

The film continually runs on cheap comedy with no screenplay or story line. Double meaning dialogues and getting laid are the sole purpose of these characters. Indra Kumar made sure this is the boldest of them all. If only the comedy was more witty than vulgar. Adult comedy is any day appreciated if it has entertainment value, but Grand Masti fails in that department. Other technical aspects are also just there, but not note worthy.

Films like these only portray women in a poor light. The part where the director shows a working woman in a negative shade is particularly worrisome. It is saddening how actors like Ritesh and Aftab have taken up such a subject.

Performance :

Grand Masti-review

If cringe-worthy scenes and dialogues are not enough, over-the-top foolery from the lead characters is quite annoying. Still, Ritesh and Aftab are somewhat better than Vivek. The girls look stupidly pretty of course and the wives have performed decently in their meager roles.

Final Word:Grand Masti is strictly for the hormonal youth, who have nothing better to do over a weekend. Families and women stay away!

    Judwaa 2 Movie Review

Judwaa 2 has been promising and entertaining right from the first frame. Varun Dhawan carried the entire film on his shoulders and he is a treat to watch. He excelled completely in the comic scenes and Judwaa 2 is his best film till date. Though the plot has been completely predictable, it is the entertainment, action and the songs which leave the audience entertaining. The first half of Judwaa 2 has been decent and lives up the expectations. The second half of Judwaa 2 too stands decent because of the entertainment levels. All the characters have been recreated from the original and not much homework has been done. The makers have been completely focused on the entertainment and the glamour. The songs have been shot well and they come at the right time in the film. The climax has been quite appealing and on the whole the second half too is a passable ride completely.

Lucknow Central is one among the finest written scripts in the recent times. Yes, the first half of Lucknow Central takes its time to reveal the important characters of the film. Some of the episodes have been extremely hard hitting and they make a massive impact. The songs have been decent and they have been placed well. The interval episodes have been completely shot well and on the whole, the first half of Lucknow Central has been decent and impressive. The second half which is quite crucial has been handled extremely well. The emotions have been handled well and the audience have been kept anxious about the next episode. The screenplay along with the narration makes a huge impact across the audience. The songs which are crucial have been shot well and the climax is the major highlight of Lucknow Central. One cannot predict the twist and on the whole the second half of Lucknow Central lives up the expectations and ends up impressive.

    Baadshaho Movie Review

Baadshaho manages to impress during the first half because of the star cast and the suspence that has been kept under wraps. Though the film dips down, it picks up immediately and the songs have been shot well. The action episodes and the locations have been grand. The first half builds all the needed momentum so that the audience eagerly wait for the second half. The second half of the film is a sheer disappointment and it offers nothing for the audience. The entire star cast have been wasted utterly. Most of the episodes have been stretched too much and the climax looks completely fake. On the whole the second half is the complete reason for the movie's massive debacle.
